Standish Foundation
Established in 1968 in New Jersey, the Standish Foundation is a philanthropic organization that focuses on funding initiatives in health, science, agriculture, fishing, and forestry, primarily within New Jersey. Preference is given to organizations in the Westfield, New Jersey area that provide a community service to the citizens of Westfield and their immediate neighbors.
Guidelines for Grants
Grants will be made once a year, in December. All grant applications must be submitted no later than November 15. No multi-year grants will be given.
No grants will be made to individuals; all grantees must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and qualify as “not a private foundation” under Section 509(a) of the Code. If an organization has not previously received a grant from the Standish Foundation, a copy of the organizations’s Section 501(c)(3) exemption letter must be submitted with the application.
All proposals must be submitted via the Foundation’s online application portal.
Grants will be made primarily to organizations in the Westfield, New Jersey area that provide a community service to the citizens of Westfield and their immediate neighbors. Grants may be for operating, capital or endowment purposes and will generally not exceed $3,000.00.
