WILLIAM V. ENGEL
After decades of concentrating in the areas of estate planning and administration, Bill presently focuses most of his practice time on private foundations, charitable trusts and governance matters for non-profit organizations. Bill is currently the Board Chair of The Hyde and Watson Foundation and the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers. He has served, cumulatively, for decades on numerous non-profit Boards of Trustees, including 23 years as a Trustee of The Pingry School, the last 7 of which were as Board Chair. He was one of the founding Trustees of New Jersey SEEDS and served on that Board for many years. Bill presently serves as a Trustee and Executive Director of the E.J. Grassmann Trust and as President of the Union Foundation and the Standish Foundation. He also advises the Board of the Laurents/Hatcher Foundation in connection with tax compliance and fiduciary responsibility. He regularly serves as a speaker or panelist at non-profit conferences and seminars.
